Project Overview
I took on the task of creating a comprehensive financial planning tool with a dedicated focus on the Saving Goals feature. The aim was to empower users to take control of their financial future by setting, tracking, and achieving their savings goals in an intuitive and engaging way. My role in the project was twofold: designing the user-facing Saving Goals interface and creating the backend planning tool that allows financial advisors to offer personalized savings recommendations seamlessly.

Summary Screen Layout (Unrealistic Goals Integration)
The Summary Screen has been enhanced to provide proactive feedback when a user's saving goals are unrealistic. This helps users make informed decisions and increases the likelihood of their success.
1
Progress Transparency
The familiar progress bar and details remain to maintain consistency and motivate users by showing their current status.
2
Warning Banner
A clear, yellow alert highlights potential issues with achieving the goal based on current spending and income patterns. This grabs attention without overwhelming the user.
3
Next Steps CTA
Direct links guide users toward optimizing their savings plan, ensuring seamless navigation and engagement.
4
Actionable Insights
Personalized suggestions, such as adjusting monthly transfers or enabling round-ups, empower users to optimize their plan effectively.
Outcome
Streamlined Goal Management: Users can effortlessly set and track multiple savings goals with clear milestones and real-time progress updates.
Enhanced User Engagement: Gamification elements like achievement badges and milestone celebrations increased user motivation to stick to their goals.
Advisor Efficiency: Financial advisors gained a powerful tool to offer tailored recommendations quickly, improving their efficiency and client satisfaction.
Positive Impact Metrics: The feature led to a measurable increase in user retention, goal completion rates, and overall customer satisfaction.
Key Learnings
Empathy in Financial Design: Simplifying complex financial data while maintaining transparency is critical to building user trust and engagement.
Iterative Feedback: Regular testing and feedback loops with both users and advisors were instrumental in refining the design.
Scalability: Designing for scalability ensured that the feature could be adapted for diverse user needs without compromising the core experience.
